The Divorce Rate Rises as the Economy Comes Back
According to the study, people aren't as likely to divorce during a recession because they tend to draw closer to each other to fight against the common foe. In addition, they just cannot afford to pay for lawyers. As the economy rebounds, those tendencies reverse and the divorce rate climbs.
