In an article in Newsday, women in the military were found to be twice as likely to get divorced than their male military counterparts. As you can imagine, being away from spouse's and children is difficult for anyone in the military. It appears, though, that women in the military suffer from far more failed marriages than the men with whom they serve.
Military divorce brings forth unique issues of division of military pensions and other property division. With our office near the headquarters for Central Command, we unfortunately see too many of our brave defenders experiencing these problems.
